Dosing systems
Precisely control and document lubricant quantities
In punching and forming processes, each lubrication point must be reliably supplied with the required amount of lubricant. Fluctuating machine cycles, high stroke rates, and multiple independent lubrication points make it difficult to achieve uniform dosing. Applying too much lubricant increases lubricant consumption and can interfere with downstream processes. Conversely, an insufficient supply can cause tool wear, scrap, and quality issues.
Precision metering units adjust the lubricant supply to match the press stroke or machine cycle. Metering pumps enable the reproducible application of even the smallest quantities. Depending on the application, dosages as small as a few nanoliters per lubrication point are possible.
The systems support a demand-based lubricant supply through:
- Up to six freely programmable outputs
- Separate supply to individual lubrication points
- Precise dosing with varying cycle rates
- Combination with roller conveyor lubricators, nozzle bars, and spray systems
- Connection of tool lubrication systems and minimum quantity lubrication nozzles
- Use with high-speed automatic punching machines and conventional presses
Consumption and order data are recorded and documented by the control system. This allows lubricant quantities to be analyzed in a traceable manner and used for quality assurance and process documentation.
The modular design allows for adaptation to different machines, lubrication points, and production conditions. Mobile models with an integrated reservoir and fill-level monitoring also facilitate integration into existing production facilities.
Precision Dosing for High-Speed Punching Processes
Raziol BR-Highspeed Precision Dosing Unit
The Raziol BR-Highspeed precision metering unit was developed to supply lubricant to high-performance high-speed automatic punching machines operating at up to 3,000 strokes per minute. Three stepper-motor-driven precision metering pumps supply lubricant to “ Roller lubricator,” spray chambers, and auxiliary tool lubrication systems with precision and reproducibility via six freely programmable outlets.
Even the smallest application quantities of less than 0.1 g/m² and dosages in the nanoliter range per lubrication point can be reliably achieved. Control is handled by the Raziol SPS 4000 with VISU 4000; more than 150 lubrication programs can be stored, and consumption and application data can be automatically documented.
