Fewer Backlogs for Greater Process Efficiency
In punching, bending, and drawing processes, the lubricant must reliably function between the tool and the workpiece, but should leave as little residue as possible after machining. A balanced ratio between lubrication performance, evaporation characteristics, and component cleanliness is crucial, particularly for sensitive component surfaces, high cycle rates, or subsequent process steps such as welding, bonding, or coating.
Evaporating and partially evaporating die-cutting and drawing oils can specifically help meet these requirements:
- The carrier medium evaporates completely after application, reducing the amount of lubricant remaining on the component
- Minimal residue can facilitate subsequent manufacturing steps and, depending on the process, reduce or eliminate the need for cleaning.
- Performance-enhancing additives improve lubrication, protect tool and component surfaces, and reduce wear and scrap
- Different carrier media enable evaporation rates tailored to the process; fast-evaporating variants have a higher evaporation rate, while slow-evaporating variants maintain the lubricating film even during later machining stages, particularly with long tools or smaller application volumes.
- Overall, due to the advantages mentioned, the evaporative die-cutting and drawing holes offer enormous potential for cost savings in the process
Fast-evaporating & partially evaporating
RAZIOL CLF 11 Series
The Raziol CLF 11 series comprises evaporating and partially evaporating stamping and drawing oils based on low-aromatic isoparaffins. The isoparaffinic carrier medium evaporates relatively quickly after application. Only a minimal film of performance-enhancing additives and/or corrosion protection remains on the workpiece—depending on the specific product and the process requirements.
Because they leave minimal residue on the component surface, the products in the CLF 11 series can enhance compatibility with subsequent process steps. Depending on the application, application volume, and subsequent process, a downstream degreasing step can be reduced or, ideally, eliminated.
Application
- For stamping, bending, and drawing processes in the manufacture of electrical contacts, springs, wires, sealing elements, and other precision and metal products
- Suitable for components used in the electrical, communications, power electronics, and home appliance industries
- For manufactured parts on which as little lubricant residue as possible should remain on the surface after the forming process
- For applications in which subsequent processes—such as washing, bonding, coating, or assembly—are to be facilitated by minimizing residue
- Depending on the product, order quantity, and subsequent process, downstream cleaning can be reduced or, ideally, eliminated entirely
Features
- Fast-evaporating, isoparaffinic carrier medium
- Low-aromatic formulation
- Minimal residue buildup on the component surface
- Flash point ≥ 61 °C
- Differences in performance levels and residue behavior within the product line
- Not classified as hazardous material under transportation law
- The additives used do not contain any silicone- or chlorine-based ingredients in their formulations
- The products in the CLF 11 series are subject to the 31st BImSchV
To ensure a precise application of lubricant, products from the Raziol CLF 11 series can be applied using suitable roller chain lubricatorsor spray systems (depending on the specific process requirements).

Evaporating
RAZIOL CLF 12 Series
The Raziol CLF 12 series consists of semi-evaporative stamping and drawing oils based on low-aromatic, isoparaffinic carrier media. Due to its flash point of ≥ 101 °C, the carrier medium evaporates more slowly than in the case of fast-evaporating stamping and drawing oils. As a result, the lubricating film remains on the material surface for a slightly longer period of time.
Application
- For punching, bending, and drawing processes with increased requirements for a longer-lasting lubricating effect
- For longer and multi-stage punching and progressive dies
- For belt materials where it is necessary to prevent them from drying too quickly during material transport or processing
- For manufactured parts on which only minimal lubricant residues are to remain over the long term after the process
Features
- Slow-evaporating isoparaffinic carrier medium
- Low-aromatic formulation
- Flash point ≥ 101 °C
- Not classified as hazardous material under transportation law
- Longer dwell time on the material surface
- Differences in performance levels and residue behavior within the product line
- The products in the CLF 12 series are not subject to the 31st BImSchV
To ensure a controlled application of lubricant, products from the Raziol CLF 12 series can be applied using suitable roller feed lubricatorsor spray systems (depending on the specific process requirements).
