High-Load-Bearing Lubricating Film for Complex Forming Processes
High friction, tool wear, material buildup, and unstable processes pose daily challenges in demanding forming operations, particularly when dealing with complex geometries and high degrees of forming. At the same time, demands for precise dosing, cost-effectiveness, and a safe and clean working environment are increasing.
Metal-forming oils form a durable lubricating film at the point of contact and help maintain controlled friction during the forming process. When tailored to the material, degree of forming, tool, and Lubrication Technology , they can help:
- Protecting tools and component surfaces from wear and damage
- To reduce material buildup and process disruptions
- To support consistent conversion results and high component quality
- To extend tool life and reduce scrap and unplanned downtime
High-performance
Raziol Metalworking Oils
Depending on the product variant, Raziol forming oils are based on specially refined mineral oils as well as synthetic or natural esters. Carefully selected polar and high-pressure additives ensure reliable lubrication even under high surface pressures.
These formulations contain no chlorine- or silicone-based additives and help reduce friction, wear, and material buildup, while extending the service life of stamping and forming tools.
Application
- Demanding forming processes involving high surface pressures
- Complex part geometries and high degrees of forming
- Applications with increased requirements for tool protection and component surface finish
- Depending on the product version, it is suitable for applications in the automotive and supplier industries, including compatibility with downstream processes such as washing, bonding, and KTL coating
To ensure a precise application of lubricant, Raziol forming oils can be applied (depending on the specific process requirements) using suitable roller feed lubricators or spray systems.
Features
- High lubrication performance for demanding forming processes
- Reduction of friction, wear, and material buildup
- Support for longer tool life
- Carefully formulated polar and high-pressure additives for high mechanical loads
- Based on low-aromatic carrier media
- Formulated with a mineral oil or ester base, depending on the product variant
- The additives used do not contain any silicone- or chlorine-based ingredients in their formulations
